This summer, the Spanish engineering company Gransolar will begin the development works for the photovoltaic plant Desafío Solar, with a capacity of 50 MW located in the province of Zaragoza, the first project of the fourth fund of the management firm Everwood Capital.

Desafío Solar is the first park that the investment firm founded by Alfredo Fernández and José Antonio Urquizu is starting up as part of the new vehicle cycle to build a portfolio of more than 900 MW of photovoltaic capacity over the next three years.

Expecting to add another 200 MW, Urquizu himself explains that «starting the construction of our first park is a fundamental milestone on the road to becoming the leading Spanish investor in non-subsidised solar power plants in southern Europe».

Everwood already has 150 million euros committed in its fourth fund, for which it obtained a ticket for 27 million from the last Fond-ICO call, and so it expects to finish its fundraising before the end of 2019 and reach 300 million.
